Welcome to Cedar Medical Practice

We are a three partner practice conveniently situated on Ashby Road (with a branch surgery held in the Ironstone Centre on West Street). Drs Tandon, Gandhi and Kamath practise in partnership. All surgeries are by appointment only and as a patient with our practice you may attend either our main surgery on Ashby Road or our Branch Surgery in the Ironstone Centre for your medical care.

We are also a Training Practice, which means we are responsible for the training of qualified doctors who wish to become general practitioners.

Over the last few years the building has seen several changes to accommodate our growing list size and provides comfortable and pleasant surroundings. There are ample car parking facilities at the rear of the building and easy access for the disabled.

You may download a copy of our Practice Leaflet here.

Weight loss injections, including Tirzepatide (Mounjaro), are not currently available to access from Primary Care (GP practices and community pharmacies) for weight loss, on the NHS anywhere in Humber and North Yorkshire. Please do not contact your GP to request it - the ICB will let patients know via this website when it is available and remind people of the eligibility criteria.

You and Your General Practice

You and your general practice (YYGP) has been developed to help patients understand what to expect from their general practice and how they can get the best from their GP team. YYGP also enables patient to provide feedback or raise concerns with their GP Practice, Healthwatch or the integrated care board (ICB). The YYGP document published by NHS England can be found below.

One Appointment One Problem One Patient

It might be tempting to bring a list of problems with your when you attend your appointment, but please consider what is achievable in the time available!

Before you attend your appointment, please decide what problem you are most concerned about. Highlight your concerns. Think about how you would describe your symptoms. Too many problems can distract from dealing with your main problem.

You can book a separate appointment for any other problem or outstanding concern.
